Batomocracy Overlay: Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Batomocracy Overlay is a Twitch extension for the Batomocracy stream, where Twitch chat plays Batomon Showdown together. It's run by Brennan Nowers ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the extension collects and what we do with it.
What we receive
When you watch. The extension shows the game's units and the current vote. To do that it loads game information from our server. That information is about the game, not about you. Twitch also gives the extension an anonymous session ID; we don't store it.
When you vote by clicking. Voting through the extension only works after you agree, in a Twitch prompt, to share your Twitch identity with it. After that, each vote you click sends our server:
- your Twitch user ID,
- your Twitch display name,
- the command you clicked (for example
!buy 2).
Network information. Requests to our server pass through Cloudflare, which handles IP addresses to deliver and protect the service (see Cloudflare's privacy policy). We don't log or keep IP addresses ourselves.
How we use it
- To count your vote, exactly like the same command typed in chat. Your clicks and your chat messages count as one vote, so nobody votes twice.
- For the end-of-run recap on stream. During a run, we keep each voter's display name and vote counts, for example "Most votes cast". These can appear on stream at the end of the run.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your information, show ads, use analytics or tracking, set cookies or use your browser's storage, or contact you.
How long we keep it
- Run stats (display names and vote counts) are stored on the streamer's computer and erased when the next run starts, usually within a few hours.
- Incoming votes appear briefly in the bot's console window and aren't saved.
Your choices
- You can watch, and vote in chat, without ever using the extension.
- You can decline the identity prompt. You just won't be able to vote by clicking.
- You can stop sharing your identity at any time: open the extension's menu on Twitch and choose to manage or revoke its access.
- To ask about or delete your information, contact us (below).
Twitch
Twitch runs the platform the extension lives on, and its own Privacy Notice covers what Twitch collects. Twitch requires its users to be at least 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. See also our Terms of Use.
